René Redzepi, head chef and founder of Noma, commissioned Studio David Thulstrup in 2018 to create a furniture collection for the Danish restaurant’s new home in Copenhagen. Thulstrup teamed up with cabinetmaker Brdr. Krüger to design the ARV Collection, a perfect balance of comfort and formal dining, made to compliment the spirit of the new Noma space, designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group.
The award-winning ARV (the Danish word for heritage) is now available in two new upholstered options - Cognac Leather and Cream Fabric - that compliment the frame and seat back, which are crafted in either Oiled Smoked Oak or Oiled White Oak. These upholstery options offer alternative comfort, character and feel. The ARV Chair is proudly crafted at Brdr. Krüger’s workshop in Værløse, Denmark.
